Our Mission
Principal's Message
Welcome to St. Joseph's Catholic School, Opotiki, an integrated school for boys and girls from Year 1 to Year 8.
St. Joseph's has a long and proud history that dates back to 1890 and many families of pupils currently attending have been associated with our school since those early days.
For 100 years the school was staffed by the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions and the Mission charism is still very present today.
We celebrate a wide diversity of cultures with 14 ethnicities comprising our school community.
St. Joseph's School is a place where staff, Board of Trustees, parents/caregivers and children work openly and co-operatively to achieve the school's mission.
We have much to be thankful for.
